I founded Little Bear Baby Signing after being inspired and hooked on baby signing when I
taught my own two children to sign.
Friends were amazed at how my children could
communicate with me at a time when they were battling with tears and tantrums so often seen in those pre verbal months.
Trying to guess what your baby is telling you is not easy and life as a parent is tough enough without the turmoil of trying
to be a mind reader! I am now priveledged
to be out working within the community to share my experience and knowledge with parents and carers. I run local baby signing classes as well as working with Childrens Centres and Nurseries.
Classes are relaxed, fun and sociable. Our aims are to teach you to
effectively use signing within your family unit in a way which works for you all. When we are together we sing
lots of songs and rhymes and integrate books and instruction to enhance the learning experience. We don't expect
babies to "sit and pay attention" and it's fine if they need a change/sleep or want to move around, exploring
and interacting with their new little friends! It gives you an hour of quality time with your baby which can be hard
to have when you are at home surrounded by housework!
So leave that washing up behind and come and give yourself some special time with your baby! We
are much more than a baby activity group because with an array of baby activities available to parents these days you
