We are passionate about working with families and have taught over 6000 families how to sign with their children!

We respect that each child is different and pride ourselves in our personal approach, working with each family to incorporate signing successfully into their lives.

Little Bear Baby Signing was founded in 2008 after teaching our own children to sign.
Friends were amazed at how our children could communicate with us at a time when they were battling with tears and tantrums so often seen in those pre verbal months.
​
We wanted to be able to share this magic with other parents and thus Little Bear was born....
​
Over the years we have worked with over 6000 families, running in person classes all that time in various locations in Hampshire as well as nurseries and Children's Centres.
​
We are proud winners of "Best Local Activity For Under 5's in the UK" as well as Jane winning "Best Local Activity Leader in the UK". We have even won a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for our services to baby signing!
Our tutors hold a BSL signing qualification and have been signing with babies for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in our knowledge and experience to help make signing successful for you too.

In 2020 when covid hit, we diversified to deliver an online offering so that families could still learn at home.
We've been working with families in this way ever since, and in 2025 when we announced we were stopping running in person classes, there was an overwhelming request that we keep the online offering going - hence Little Bear @ Home was born!
